Hot runner is to ensure that the plastic in the runner and gate is kept molten by heating. The hot runner system is generally composed of a hot nozzle, a distributor, a temperature control box and accessories.

There are generally two types of hot nozzle: open hot nozzle and needle valve hot nozzle. Because the type of hot runner nozzle directly determines the choice of hot runner system and the manufacture of mold, hot runner system is often divided into open hot runner system and needle valve hot runner system accordingly.

Custom hot runner system is more and more widely used in the plastic mold industry, especially for large automotive products. What details do you need to pay attention to when installing hot runner system into the mold?

1. The mold equipped with hot runner system must be designed with heat insulation plate, superimposed up and down.

2. The positioning ring must secure the main nozzle.

3. The junction box is installed on the top surface of the mold for easy wiring, and the wire should not be exposed to the surface of the mold. Additional fixing blocks can be added if necessary.

4. The outlet notch must be inverted at a right Angle to prevent the scratch line from leaking.

5. The ground side must add a drain sink to prevent rubber leakage and expansion, and add a few screws to lock the panel and hot runner plate.

6. Add a hot nozzle pad to prevent the top of the panel from sinking when the injection pressure is too high. Hot nozzle pad (magenta) requires hardened material.

7. Water delivery must be designed near the hot nozzle.
